Ive been there once now, in the large one..Alterac valley i believe it was.
And wow....
It left some very good impression. There is so much you can do.
I like it a lot.

I was there today af same time as u. DUnno if u saw it but i was in first place al day i was there =P over 1200hk in 4 hours 125 killing blows etc etc. will be fun to see my CP tomorrow =P

If my comp didn't suck so much it would be great,
still like it though, lots to do but imo they need some better introduction to it,
where to turn things in, how to do things etc
and also a map wouldnt suck ;D

and bg rock, they make me log off 3 hours later than I intend to. and considering I am only level 53 hunter right now I am doing quite well in staying alive and doing damage and getting cp (3200 the first day and around 4500 the second day). What I liked especially is, that you can get xp for mobs and quests, so this makes my time more worthwhile than SS/TM. My current project will be to get that flag out of the harpies clutches and then I will concentrate my efforts on graveyards and bunkers and getting into a group that kills Korrak.
on the other hand I think that big snow elemental of the hordies is bugged i saw it popping back to full health from around 20% on three different occasions now.
I just try and stay out of it's way.
what I like most is that i see familiar faces from factions on the other side of the battle and I even manage to kill them and more likely manage to get killed by them. Yesterday I saw Carothias and Raptrojo, too bad it's to hard to exchange some taunts while in the middle of the big fights, but I will try to think of something. maybe a /moon or /smooch out of range from your weapons.
all in all BG (alterac is the one I saw) has the old faction touch to it, where the side with the better coordinated effort won all of the time aswell.
But so far I only saw back and forth, back and forth with no side gaining the clear upper hand. hordies seem to be better at conquering graveyards, allies are better in all rushing to one place and hacking and slashing everything that moves and then disperse until the next herold(sp) is crying for help.
this is going to be fun for me for the next 4 months ...

personally i think bgs are shit, prolly coz im a protection spec warrior. ive pvp'd enough in wow already and imo bg is just a gank fest and for honor farming

For me, it gave me back the exact same feeling as Factions at its height. Taking over bases, standing opposit eachother for hours on end, waiting for that one break. It's the most fun i had since factions in UO. Now, when people will realise that using tactics is even better, BG will become the true factions of Wow. AF |

most people in there are just randoms farming for points, for armor that you lose if you dont play for a week. fighting 1vs40 isnt fun, and trying to get 20 ppl from the same guild in is a nightmare. until they make private bg's with passwords so you can have 10v10/40v40 guild fights then ill be farming MC.
i play for competition, getting zerged isnt fun.
we participate in the 10v10 warsong gulch every night (where we remain unbeaten as a guild... schooled cruentus and nw last night)

Well last night we pwned Alterac 1 and i was inside since 11h AM we finished at 01h00.... Was really hard and tbh this is more fun than farm any instance or PvE... Kill the ally commander isnt really easy and dosent work if you are in a zerg group or a ranged nub fight... Thats require some tactics with the bunker and of course need to be patient. Anyway was really fun and since it was my second day in BG only its not bad. Im rogue i dont use alot of ranged attack and i was at end the number 4 in classment for Killing Blow. I didnt tested alot Warsong (only 1 time and we was pwned by ally  ). |

i like it tbh. had a little peek yesterday. did remind me a bit of midgard DaOC. havent really done any PvP there yet. only killed 50000 rams and harpies which gave nice exp so i was happy  |
